Over the years, Umweltbundesamt has completed numerous projects in various environmental fields. A selection of past and ongoing reference projects is presented in this section. Recent examples are given below. For more examples refer to the topics in the tab.
SINPHONIE - Schools Indoor Pollution and Health
Observatory Network in Europe
SINPHONIE aims to expand the knowledge on exposure of children to indoor air pollutants and health risks at school across Europe. Indoor air measurements are carried out and health determinants of children are assessed by using the same harmonised protocols.
SuDES - Sustainable Development in the Energy Sector
SuDES Project assists Serbia in the activities with the main goal to contribute to sustainable development in Serbia by enhancing capacities in the energy sector to efficiently use resources in compliance with the EU energy and climate acquis.
ACCESS2MOUNTAIN
Sustainable transport to and within tourist destinations in the Alps and the Carpathian Mountains.
Over the period of three years, ten project partners from six countries will be developing a variety of measures for the improvement of branch and narrow gauge lines, as well as “soft” mobility options for holiday destinations and suitable marketing measures.
Climate Impact Research and Response Coordination for a Larger Europe (CIRCLE-2)
The main objective of CIRCLE- 2 is to step up coordination of research activities carried out at national/regional level in the EU Member and Associated States by supporting and enhancing collaboration efforts between national research programmes on Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation (CCIVA).
