Environmental issues are as varied and complex as the environment itself. To prepare the ground for solutions to the environmental problems we are confronted with, we need information on the results of the latest developments and research.
Such environmental information, as well as reports on the state of the environment and its changes, must be made available in an appropriate form to industry, political decision-makers, the media and the public.
Some of our studies are also (or only) available in English. Most of them have English summaries.
Publications – online & free!
With a view to the environment, the Umweltbundesamt makes available as many publications as possible for viewing online or for downloading, instead of printing them. Nearly all of our publications are available for free download.
If downloading is not possible, we will produce on request a black and white copy of the publication. For such copies, a minimum flat rate of EUR 20 is charged and for publications of more than 100 pages, an additional charge is made of EUR 0.20 for each photocopied page.
Within Austria, a flat rate of EUR 2.18 is charged for each delivery, plus EUR 3.50 to be paid by the addressee on receipt of the delivery. For deliveries abroad, the invoice is included and a flat rate of EUR 5.50 is charged for each delivery.
As this service does not form part of the economic activities of the Umweltbundesamt Ltd, it is not liable to VAT.
