Videos sent from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, and Spain won the prizes of the ‘I LIVE GREEN’ video competition announced today. The competition, organised by the European Environment Agency (EEA) and its partner network, attracted more 120 entries from 21 European countries.

Vienna, 5 June 2018 - The video competition ‘I Live Green’ gave Europeans an opportunity to show what they do to protect the environment. More than 120 Europeans sent videos in four competition categories – sustainable food, clean air, clean water and minimal waste. A shortlist of 31 videos made it to the final round of the competition.

On World Environment Day, occurring on the 5th of June every year, we celebrate the winners of the competition. Environmental communication experts selected the winners in the four competition categories while an open online vote decided the Public Choice Award. All winners receive a cash prize.

Little steps, big impact

The state of the environment around us is affected by many of our daily decisions, ranging from what we eat to how we travel or heat our homes. Some of our day-to-day decisions are made with the intention of minimising negative impacts on the environment, and consequently on our health. The video competition highlighted small and big actions, European citizens take to help the environment.
