Presentations

The scientific committee will decide whether the contribution will be presented as a talk depending on the total number of contributions and the relevance of the study for the theme and topics of the meeting. If accepted, the abstract will also be printed in the conference abstract volume which will be given to all participants at the beginning of the meeting.

Please submit your abstract electronically as Word or RTF file as follows:

Margins 3 cm, 

Title: Times, 14 pt, bold, centered

Author line: Times, 12 pt, centered. Example: Smith DG, Miller AB, University of XY, Germany. Maximum length 2 lines.

 

Body of text: Times, 12 pt, right justification, singlespaced lines, no indents. 

 

Use a space line after title, author line and after each paragraph. 

 

Tables, figures or references are optional, and should be incorporated into the text (please ensure that lettering in tables and figures is large enough to be intelligible).

 

Maximum length one A4 page.

Oral and poster contributions may be submitted for publishing in a forthcoming volume of NEOBIOTA.

 

Deadline for submission is the conference meeting in Vienna.

Talks will last 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.

Power point and overhead presentations are possible, if you need other media (slides, video etc.) please contact the conference office as soon as possible.

 

The poster format should not exceed A0.

Participants are invited to vote for the best poster, which will be awarded with 300,- Euro.

Technical Setup (only Power Point)

Use Windows standard fonts (Times, Arial, Verdana, Courier, ...)

To save time, ppt-files should be loaded as early as possible, that means right in advance of your talk. It is possible to hand out the file at the registration desk on Wednesday!

 

The computers are equipped with Windows-PCs (Windows XP / Office 2003 – latest version), no MacIntosh machines.

 

You will not be able to use your own laptop or notebook.

 

Please bring your presentation on the following media: USB-stick, CD-ROM, DVD- ROM, floppy disk.

 

It seems wise to have a backup of your files ready - just in case, ...
