Short description

The main objective of “Rural development by integrated forest and water resource management in South-East Europe – LEIWW” is to develop a regional framework for analyzing potentials and practices regarding agri-environmental policies. Furthermore, the project aims to support the West-Balkans in implementing sustainable agricultural practices, which are in line with EU policies. The project partners monitor the status of implementation and propose suitable regional as well as national solutions. Experts of the Umweltbundesamt (Environment Austria Agency) support the project on a technical basis.

Services provided:

  • Support in the definition of conceptual and technical aspects of the assignment
  • Support of the regional and the national experts in their collection of available national data and addressing of data gaps
  • Support of the regional and the national experts in the process of development of recommendations for improved data management, as well as in their assessments and analyses of the existing institutional and legal framework
  • Provision of guidance for the regional coordinators of the REAWG for quality control of collected data and information
  • Contribution to the development of the regional part of the final report
