Measurements & Calibrations

The calibration laboratory of the Environment Agency Austria was accredited for the amount of ozone in purified air according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 on 29 July 2009.

The accredited calibration laboratory of the Umweltbundesamt has been acting as National EU Reference Laboratory for Ambient Air Quality since 2000.

2009, the Austrian Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying nominated the calibration laboratory of the Environment Agency Austria as designated laboratory to hold the national etalon for ozone in ambient air.

High temperatures can be accompanied by elevated levels of ground level ozone. We provide up-to-date information on ozone levels for the whole of Austria.
