Short description

In an effort to reduce the pollution of the Mediterranean the Euro-Mediterranean Partners committed themselves to the “Horizon 2020 Initiative”. A further cooperation with the ENP south countries focused on the preparation of the second Horizon2020 assessment report including country-level assessments. This assessment achieved coherence and harmonization of environmental reporting at regional level in support of more efficient policy-making.

  • Communicating and coordination between Mediterranean countries and the European Environment Agency
  • Supporting the development and implementation of national work plans
  • Supporting the identification and implementation of national pilots 
  • Supporting the review and production of indicators and country profiles and ensuring data is in place and accessible 
  • Supporting the elaboration of the indicator based regional assessment
  • Organising meetings, workshops, missions
