    The Informative Inventory Report (IIR) 2025 presents a comprehensive and detailed description of emission trends and the methodologies applied in the Austrian Air Emission Inventory for the air pollutants

    - sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs), ammonia (NH3)
    - carbon monoxide (CO) and
    - particulate matter (TSP, PM10, PM2.5)

    as well as the air pollutant groups such as
    - heavy metals: cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), lead (Pb) and
    - persistent organic pollutants (POPs): polycyclic aromatic hydrocar-bons (PAHs), dioxins and furans (PCDD/Fs), hexachlorobenzene (HCB) as well as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB).

    With the IIR 2025, Austria complies with its reporting obligations under the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (LRTAP) and Directive (EU) 2016/2284 on the reduction of national emissions of cer-tain atmospheric pollutants.
